The above quote from "Uptown Girls" summarizes the point in life where I'm in. Right now, I'm struggling. A relationship which I confidently and undoubtedly pictured to last a lifetime suddenly turned on a different course. I guess you really cannot be so sure in life. Everything changes and nothing's constant, well, except change itself. Like what Dakota Fanning's character, Ray, said in the movie... I also believe that in every ending, there's just a new beginning. So where do you think it's best to start?
For me.. you cannot start a new chapter if you're gonna run away from your problems. It's not advisable to hide from your current situation, set aside your struggles and show that you're totally fine. You don't always have to show that you're strong on the outside. Wag tapang-tapangan. Sometimes being strong means not holding back the tears but letting them fall. For me, if you want to grieve then GRIEVE. It's okay not to be okay. Take your time to feel all the hurt and the pain and the sadness. In order to be able to turn the next page, we must first let go of the past. Face it, admit your feelings, then set it free. Cause if you don't the pain just sleeps in your heart. For sometime you thought you're already okay, but when it comes back you realize you're not really happy. It will always pull you back to that agonizing feeling like before. What happened? You're still in there, trapped and not really moved on.
So where do we start? I say.... let's start in the end.
